Yorkton & District Community Foundation, Inc. was founded in October 2019 by the people above Larry Pearon, Victor Surjik, Rob McDill, Lisa Washington, Sharon Tropin, Trevor Plews, Les Arnelien, Ray Bailey, Andrew Rae (missing from the photo are Matt Zerbin, Gerry Ann Fraser).
This is a volunteer working board, there are no paid staff. That doesn't mean that we don't have help. Local professionals are quick to lend a hand and as a member of Community Foundations of Canada there is the experience of their professionals and 192 community foundation to guide our board of directors. Yorkton & District Community Foundation partners with the Saskatoon Community Foundation for fund management.
Time commitment is approximately 2-4 hours a week (flexible)
The Board of Directors meet once a month for approximately 1- 1/2 hours. Currently these are virtual meetings, due to the pandemic, and are held using Zoom.
Various committees of the Board meet, as needed, to do the hands-on work. Our committees are:
