Yorkton & District Community Foundation, Inc. was founded in October 2019 by the people above: Larry Pearon, Victor Surjik, Rob McDill, Lisa Washington, Sharon Tropin, Trevor Plews, Les Arnelien, Ray Bailey and Andrew Rae. Missing from the photo are Matt Zerbin and Gerry Ann Fraser.
This is a volunteer working board; there are no paid staff. That doesn't mean that we don't have help. Local professionals are quick to lend a hand and as a member of Community Foundations of Canada there is the experience of their professionals and 192 community foundation to guide our board of directors. Yorkton & District Community Foundation partners with the Saskatoon Community Foundation for fund management.
Time commitment is approximately two to four hours a week, but that is flexible.
The Board of Directors meet once a month for one to one and a half hours. Currently these are virtual meetings due to the pandemic.
